工作类话题题目：
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? For success in a future job, the ability to relate well to people is more important than studying hard in school. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
思路分析：
1.话题引入：选出作文命题中的关键词(一般为名词)，进行背景描述，引入话题
2.他人观点：第二步有三种处理方法。陈述对立观点、叙述双方观点或保留双方观点
3.亮明观点：第三句话明确给出本文总观点
4.尾句过渡：用固定句式进行开头段与主体段的过渡
开头段范文：
?Everyone in the society is seeking for success in career, but what is the key factor of becoming successful? There are two choices – good networking and hardworking. ?Although someone tends to choose the first aspect, ?I definitely agree that hardworking at school should be a key factor of success. ?Without hardworking at school, success in the future cannot be guaranteed.
范文解析：
1.根据题干内容，选取关键词success, future job, relate well to people or study hard at school。开头句作为话题引入，先描述当前背景，即社会上的每个人都追求事业成功，但成功的关键因素是什么?第二句对应题干信息，指出有两种选择——良好的人际关系还是努力学习。
2.该步骤采取了陈述对立观点的方法，Although … 指出有人认为良好的人际关系对于事业成功更重要。
3.I definitely agree that直接引出作者的态度，即在学校努力学习是成功的关键因素，亮出文章的总观点。
4.最后一句，作为对整体段落内容上的收尾，并且引出下文来支持作者观点的理由。

首先，回顾一下5分作文的评分标准：
effectively addresses the writing task
is well organized and well developed
use clearly appropriate details to support a thesis
displays consistent facility in the use of language
demonstrates syntactic variety and appropriate word choice, thoughit may have occasional errors
这三大块的要求(organization, development, language use)对于Introduction的意义在于：1)作文必须有一个开头段(这样才完整呀，就像刚认识一个小伙伴，总要问一下“你的名字是?”) 2)好的开头段要做到引出话题和明确表明作者的态度。(也许问“你的名字”并不是一个搭讪的好方式，那怎么办?)
来个例子吧~ 下文是TPO10的综合写作阅读文章，没错!写作虽然分为两个tasks，但都是英语写作呀~ 笔者一直认为这两篇作文可以一起提高，综合写作就是美国人写的议论分析文章哇~ 接下来，带着大家分析这个开头段，同时解答如下几个问题：
1) 能不能一开始就写“I agree with the statement.”/“I think ….”?
2) 题目里的文字我就抄一点点，一丢丢……就一点点，可以吗?
3) 多少字为宜?
The sea otter is a small mammal that lives in watersalong the western coast of North America from California to Alaska.(看了第一句，能猜出作者观点吗?当然不能，但是我们可以知道这篇文章一定是关于 seaotter 这个话题的。)When some sea otter populations off the Alaskan coaststarted rapidly declining a few years ago, it caused much concern because seaotters play an important ecological role in the coastal ecosystem. Expertsstarted investigating the cause of the decline and quickly realized thatthere were two possible explanations:environmental pollution or attacks by predators.(两个可能的原因，这是可以被质疑被反驳的“观点”哦) Initially, the pollution hypothesis seemed the morelikely of the two.(作者的态度明显就是支持 pollution hypothesis)

到了答疑时间：
1)第一句话建议大家先引入话题，不要直接简单粗暴地写“我觉得……”。除非，你打字速度慢到担心后面写不完……(这种情况下，XDF老师们也有专门帮大家提高打英文速度的方法哟)
2)背景句一般是一个现象，接下来就要针对这个话题提出一个争论点。大多数时候，考生会在此时选择改写题目。问题来了，5分评分标准中的“demonstrates syntactic variety and appropriate word choice”就需要大家做到表达准确，且不能重复。
3)最后必须给出作者的观点，至于用I think还是In myopinion都不重要，重要的还是这句话整体写的如何。如果有一个短语100%比In my opinion更好，并且100%能拿高分，我想这早就不会是一个秘密了。希望宝宝们注重提高语言能力!而不是机械地背短语。
4)整篇文章字数要求是300以上，个人建议开头段字数在40-60个。(个别打字狂人且脑洞太大的，你想多写一些我也不拦着。)

In recent days, people who travel in othercountries is on the rise, while others, choose to travel to foreigncountriesas a result of thebooming economy.(原文的版本不太和谐，背景句只要提到核心词“旅行/出国旅行”的背景信息即可，尽量不要涉及到人们的观点。加了个原因纯属凑内容啦~)Some people hold the opinion that they can benefit more fromtraveling in native areas, while others prefer to travel to experience adifferent life in other countries.This trend is regarded as a positive one because they are eager to experiencea different life. Some people, however, still consider travelling in one’s owncountry as more favorable.(一些人blabla，然鹅另一些人blabla，这个真的太俗了!并且非常容易重复题目中的说法哦)In my point of view, I would like to travel to foreign countries inan attempt to learn more things.
范例2：
Some people argue using a cleaner energy to protect the environment,but some people says the traditional energy sources such as coal and oil isless expensive, what is your suggestion?
…此处省略若干字…. In my point of view, I totally agree that new energies are a goodreplacement and should be encouragedto use a cleaner energy to protect the environment.
如何写好托福写作开头段
我们都知道，一篇较好的托福作文需要字数达到400-450左右，然而我们的规定时间只有短短的30分钟，可想而知，托福写作的字数压力还是比较大的。所以我们建议，开头段不应该占据太多时间，我们应该多留一些时间给后面主体段的扩展，让文章更加充实。
通常开头段的要求是字数在70-100词左右，时间控制在3-5分钟。不排除有些学生拿到题目就能文思泉涌的敲出一篇开头，但是对于大多数学生来说，紧张的时间再加上紧张的情绪，在开头段就会卡壳。那么针对这大多数的情况，我们有没有什么解决办法呢?
那么接下来我们用一个题目来看看。
Do you agree or disagree: money is the most important aspect in a job?
首先拿到这个题目，我们可以看到要谈论的是钱对于工作的重要性，那么在开头段我们要如何引入话题呢?我们可以这样写：
In contemporary society, it has become a hot issue that whether money is the most important aspect in a job. People’s opinions about it vary from person to person.
“在现代社会，钱到底是不是工作中最重要的部分，这个话题引起了大家的热烈讨论，大家的观点各不相同”。很显然，这是个引入主题的好方法。
接下来是正反方观点，也就是一些人同意而另一些人不同意的部分了：
A number of supporters of that viewpoint claim that money is very important on account of its necessity to satisfy our daily needs, but other people who are opposite to that view hold that other factors like interest and social liability are also significant aspects in a job.
可以看到，我们在托福写作范文中介绍各方观点的时候可以适当的加上一下你可以想到的简单理由来帮我们填充开头。
最后一部分是个人观点，也就是表达自己看法的时候，大家对于这个应该是非常擅长了，无非就是就我个人来说，我的看法是什么：
As for as I am concerned, I am convinced that money is not always the most important.
我们可以看到，背景争议法的开头写法结构和思路都是非常清晰的。
通过上面的介绍我们发现：作为托福写作的开头段落是至关重要的，我们不应该只是单纯的套用托福写作范文中的句式，这样显得非常生硬。在时间紧迫的情况下，我们可以使用这个托福综合写作模板中的方法来处理开头段落。
托福写作三种开头段写法
1)追根溯源法
即从托福写作题目给出的话题中找出这个现象产生的原因来扩展背景句。这种方法适合大多数的话题，考生要尽量在考前做托福作文练习，这样在考试就可以得心应手了。
请看下面的例子：
There are social, medical and technical problems associated with the use of mobile phones. What forms do they take？ Do you agree that the problems outweigh the benefits of mobile phones？
这个题目中给出的话题是mobile phone，所以考生可以从它产生的原因来考虑，就是科技的繁荣，而科技的繁荣，手机的广泛使用是在20世纪末，这样背景句就有内容可写了。
这个背景句就可以写成： The late 20th century witnessed the boom of science and technology, which gave rise to a series of technological innovations, including the mobile phone.
再看一例：
Nowadays, some universities offer students skills that assist them to find employment, but some people believe that the main function of a university should be to provide students with access to knowledge for its sake. What is your opinion？
这题要求大家讨论大学是提供职业技能还是传授知识。那从传统观点来看，大学是传授知识的地方，为什么会提出要传授技能呢，所以这里考生也可以用追根溯源法思考下，大家肯定可以想到是由于找工作已经成为当今教育的目的之一了，所以很多大学就转移到以传授技能为主了。那当然还是要结合句型，这里可以用as 引导的原因状语从句。
参考：As job-hunting has become one of the main purposes of university education, the majority of the universities tend to offer vocational trainings to prepare the students for their future career.
2) 重述法
即对关于这个话题的当前现状的重述。
请看一例：
Nowadays, people are facing more and more work-related stress. State the possible reasons for this phenomenon and make some recommendations about how to combat it。
本题的话题关于压力，那考生可从当前社会现象来考虑这个问题，考生不难想出当下对压力这一现象的情况，即很多人都在承受着或多或少的压力。可用it is generally believed that … 形式主语的句型。
参考：It is generally believed that white-collar as well as blue-collars workers are suffering from psychological and physical stress stemming from work.
再看一例：
Environmental problem is too big for individual countries and individual people to address. In other words, we have reached the stage where the only way to protect the environment is at an international level. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement？
本题话题为环境问题，考生也可用重述法对当前环境问题进行重述，这时，可以用In modern society/ At present, 等表时间的介词短语来引导一个叙述句型。

3)定义法
即通过对话题词的定义的介绍，这种方法在新托福开头写作中有一定难度，考生需要有渊博的知识，才能做到对名词的解释，但对特别明显的词语，考生可借鉴这种方法。
请看一例：
The main purpose of public libraries is to provide books and they should not waste their limited resources and space on providing expensive hi-tech media such as computer software, videos and DVDs. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement？
本题中的话题词为图书馆，可以解释的词也是图书馆比较方便容易。那么到底如何解释呢，比如说图书馆在传统意义上来看，是收藏书的地方，而现在因为科技发展，使得图书馆的意义发生改变，从而引出话题。这里同样可以用形式主语：
It is generally believed that public libraries are places with a large collection of books； however, the digital time has given it a new means of storing and retrieving information.
