Manila's move comes days afterDuterte won billions of dollars in pledges from China after attending the Belt and Road summitin Beijing.

NEW ORLEANS -- The city of New Orleans lateTuesday began taking down a monument to Gen.P.G.T Beauregard - the third of four Confederate-eramonuments slated for removal.
