Thank your enemies!
Maybe you are the best of the class. In the last few exams one or two even several students have got higher marks than you. What do you think about this? Are you jealous of them? Or are you grateful to them? Please think it over after reading the following passage. You will probably learn a lot.
Once a zoologist worked on antelopes which were living on both sides of a river in the Republic of South Africa. He discovered that the antelopes on the east side multiplied more rapidly and ran faster than those on the west.
The zoologist puzzled after long, deep thought about the differences. As the two groups of antelopes lived in the same environment and they fed on the same kind of grass. One year, with the help of the Animal Protecting Society, he caught ten antelopes on each side and exchanged them. A year later, the ten antelopes sent to the west bank multiplied ( 繁殖) by fourteen while only three remained of the ones sent to the east. Where were the other seven? They had been eaten by wolves.
At last the zoologist understood why the antelopes on the east were stronger. That was because on the east side there were living a group of wolves —their natural enemy!
Not everything is plain sailing in your life. It is your opponents that are improving you indeed. So thanks must go to your opponents, it’s true!
Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life. Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust. Whether 60 or 16 years old, there is the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlike appetite and the joy of the game of living in every human beings heart. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young. When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.
feed your mind
since the pre historic times man has had an urge to satisfy his needs be it hunger shelter or search for a mate he has always manipulated the circumstances to the best of his advantages probably this might be the reason why we human are the most developed of all living species on the earth and probably also in the universe as we climbed the steps of evolution with giant leaps we somehow left behind common sense and logical thinking we forgot that we have stopped thinking ahead of times
if you are hungry what do you do grab a piece of your favorite meal and stay quiet after that just like your stomach even your mind is hungry but it never lets you know because you keep it busy thinking about your dream lover favorite star and many such absurd things so it silently began to heed to your needs and never let itself grow when mind looses its freedom to grow creativity gets a full stop this might be the reason why we all sometimes think quot what happens next quot quot why can t i think quot quot why am i always given the difficult problems quot well this is the aftermath of our own karma of using our brain for thinking of not so worthy things
