　　不定数量的表示方法

　　hundreds/thousands/millions of表示不定数数量。

　　hundreds of成百

　　thousands of成千，成千上万

　　millions of成百万

　　At night we can see thousands of stars in the sky.

　　夜晚我们可以看见天上成千上万的星星。

　　Hundreds of old people took part in the long race that morning.

　　那天早晨成百个老人参加了长跑赛。

　　但是hundred, thousand, million作计数单位被基数词修饰时不能用复数形式。

　　比如：

　　Several hundred old people watched the performance by the children.

　　几百个老人观看了儿童们的演出。

　　Three thousand college students helped to work on the farms in their summer holidays.

　　三千名大学生在暑期

　　There were big animals on the earth about two million years ago.

　　大约二百万年以前地球上有巨大的动物。
