Ben : Hello and welcome to our programme where we answer your questions about British life and culture.
塞利娜：我想知道从伦敦去谢菲尔德交通方便吗?大约多长时间?我该怎么从伦敦去别的城市呢?
Selina: I want to know if it is very convenient to travel from London to Sheffield and how long will it take and how about traveling from London to other cities.

Ben : It's very convenient. I mean the links from London to many other cities around the country including Sheffield are very good, both by road but also by rail. Traveling from London to Sheffield takes about two and half hours, it's a fairly pleasant journey-and the great thing about traveling by rail and roads as well, to a certain extent is that you can see some of the great countryside that we have in this country, and there's some lovely countryside from London up towards the north of England.

Selina: Could you tell me something more about traveling by rall and roads around England?

Ben: OK. London itself has some very large rail stations, including Charing Cross, which serves the south of England, Liverpool Street Station, and King's Cross, some big name rail stations. One of the great things recently about London is the move of Eurostar to St. Pancras, which means that it's now very easy for people from the continent to come into London and then go from London out, particularly to the north of the country and up into Scotland on some quite fast moving trains now, that means you can get to as far as Edinburgh in something like 4 hours. So it's quite easy to get around.

Ben: No problem. Since the move of Eurostar to St. Pancras, it has become very easy for people from the continent to come into London and then continue to go out from London to other parts of the country.

Selina: What if I want to drive my own car there? Is that possible?

Ben: You can drive your own car or you can hire a car to go to many destinations and even places in Scotland are not really that far away either by car or by train. The transport and train infrastructure in Britain is among the best in the world.
