坐井观天的英语寓言小故事

　　编者按：《坐井观天》这个的英语寓言故事讲述的是一只坐在井底的小青蛙与乌鸦的对话，告诉我们人不能局限于当下，要敢于突破自身的环境去看世界。

　　There is a frog. He lives at the bottom of a well and he never goes out of the well. He thinks the sky is as big as the mouth of the well.

　　One day a crow comes to the well. He sees the frog and says, “Frog, let’s have a talk.”

　　Then the frog asks, “Where are you from?”

　　“I fly from the sky,” the crow says.

　　The frog feels surprised and says, “The sky is only as big as the mouth of the well. How do you fly from the sky?”

　　The crow says, “The sky is very big. You always stay in the well, so you don’t know the world is big.”

　　The frog says, “I don’t believe.”

　　But the crow says, “You can come out and have a look by yourself.”

　　So the frog comes out from the well. He is very surprised. How big the world is!

　　frog [frɔɡ]：青蛙

　　bottom ['bɑtəm]：底部

　　well [wɛl]：好，井

　　crow [kro]：乌鸦

　　有一只青蛙，他出生以来一直生活在井底，从未见过外面的世界，他觉得天空也就是井口那般大小。

　　有一天，一只乌鸦飞过来，他看到青蛙说：“青蛙，我们来聊天吧!”青蛙问他：“你从哪里来啊?” 乌鸦说：“我从天上来。”

　　青蛙很吃惊：“天空不就是井口这般大，你是怎样飞过来的?”

　　乌鸦说：“天空很大的，你总是待在井底，所以你不知道这个世界有多大。”

　　青蛙说：“我不相信!”

　　乌鸦说：“你出来看一看就知道了!”

　　于是青蛙爬出井口，他惊呆了：原来这个世界真的好大!
