Topic:

Describe a song that means something special to you.

You should say:

What this song is about

When you listened to this song for the first time

How often you listen to it

And explain why you think it is special to you.

思路分析:

很特别的一首歌:同桌的你。

歌曲的内容:可以从歌词、曲调,以及这首歌所表达的情感这几个方面来说。

这首歌为什么特别:可以联系这首歌的内容和自己的生活。例如,每次听到这首歌就会想起自己的同桌和与同桌之间的友情等等。

Sample answer:

In my mind, there is a song I particularly enjoy and it means a lot to me, whose name is the girl next to me. It is a folk song(民谣) sung by Laolang, a famous folk singer in my country popular in young Chinese people in particular, young college students. The singer expresses his missing to the girl sitting at same table of him in his school time. I heard it on a music website for the first time several years ago when I was in my dormitory. I was impressed by the beautiful melody(旋律) and the touching lyrics(歌词) and it is not surprising that the song is very prevalent(流行的) among the young college students like me on campus. Each time I hear the melody,I will think of the lovely face of my desk mate ,a lovely girl ,in my high school, especially her sweet smile and her limpid(清澈的 )eyes. We have pure friendship then, and we often helped each other. She taught me English and I was better in math. We have much happy time together. After graduating from high school, we separated and communicated with each other once in a while. I wish I can sing the song with her if I have an opportunity and I believe It will be touching picture.

Describe a song that you remember from your childhood.

You should say:

when and where you learned it

how you learned this song

what the song is about

and explain how you felt when you used to sing this song.

要描述好这个话题卡,考生需要注意以下几个点:

1. 歌曲的名字不需要太过执着。如果你真的听过,可以描述一个真实的外文儿歌,比如《音乐之声》里的《DO-RE-MI》,必然能和考官产生共鸣。如果你没有听过,随便编一个名字就可以了,因为名字并不是考官考察的点。这里我建议大家随意编个名字,毕竟描述考官知道的那些脍炙人口的儿歌,局限性太大,不利于我们自由发挥想象力

2. 歌曲的内容可以是任何关于题材的,冒险、风景、游戏、家庭。大家可以自由发挥。

3. 要给考官重点描述一下这首歌当时或现在给你带来什么感觉。这里有很多可说的,比如: 使我高兴cheered me up,使我振作lift me up,重现童年美好时光brings back the good times,甚至至今都使我激动不已still thrills me today.

教你如何让雅思口语考官喜欢你

思口语考试中,印象分是至关重要。就等于一位好的老师不但课要教得好,更重要的是要有人格魅力(personal charm ),而同学们在考试过程中这种魅力一定要有,通过礼仪体现出来。口语的三部分,同学们都知道第一部分最简单,第二部分动用自己的想象力去描述,第三部分最难,但最关键的是第一部分,也就是从你进门那一肯开始。下面我与大家分享下外交级的礼仪,如何让考官非常喜欢你。下面的“T”代表考官,“S”代表你。

T:Come in please.(在门口叫你)

S:thank you 后,轻声关门,马上走到考官前说:my name is _x.(一定要说中文名,不能说英文名),然后马上请问对方的名字:howdo you like me to address you ,sir?(这句话是外交级的语言,对方肯定会告诉你名字),假设考官说的是Ken,你马上微笑的回答:Oh, Ken, (惊讶的表情),nice name, glad to meet you.(伸出手,要有力) 。

T:说完后考官肯定说thanks, 然后说sit down ,please.

S:同学们不要马上坐下,因为当时考官还是站着的,你要说:you please.(你先请) 。

要重点注意的几个礼仪:

1、动作:同学们的眼睛千万不要晃,不要老眨眼,这是消极的表现,要不时面带笑容,看考官的鼻子,不要看眼睛,这样你会很紧张,你看考官的鼻子的地方,从他的角度看你是看着他的眼睛的。男女生挺直不能依靠椅子,男生双手要分别放在大腿,女生双手放在左大腿上,身体稍微有点倾斜。

2、手表:西方国家的人很看重“手表”,无论我在外交部,大使馆给国家领导人做翻译,还是跟外教一起聊英语教学,都发现他们很喜欢带表,他们称带表的人为“aman of time”(有时间观念的人),所以同学们考试时一定要带表。

3、颜色:颜色会使一个人的感觉变动,而如果全部同学都是穿白色或浅色的衣服,而你穿了黑色,那你就会给人耳目一新的感觉。在所有我接触过的考官,都喜欢一种颜色,那就是绿色,那是代表“love ,hope ,life andenergy”,并且澳大利亚的国色是绿色。我推荐大家穿绿色,蓝色和黄色。这样会让所有的外国考官都会喜欢。

4、结束:当考官最后说了一句:that‘s all。一般同学们都会说:thanks, goodbye.这样的印象分也是很差的,一般第三部分的分数是等你出了门,考官才会写下去,所以最后的一句话往往是加分的。同学们牢记好三句话:thanks very muchfor your time ,and I enjoy taking with you . Have a good day,__(加上考官的名字,并且握手)。

雅思口语如何做到切题回答

对于口语考试,很多考生都感到迷惑,不知道到底怎么回答才叫切题。有的学生认为只要是听明白了老师的问题顺着往下说就可以。只要中间没有太多的停顿就行。所以这部分考生更注重说口语的流利度。而另一部分学生,他们更注重语音语调的练习,认为发音是雅思口语的重头戏。

其实雅思口语考试不是仅仅考察学生的语音,语调和流利度,而是考核考生整体的交流技能。而这个交流技能在考试过程中是从具体的测试方向进行衡量的,衡量方向包括口语词汇数量的大小,说话的时候是不是有逻辑,句法掌控的如何,句型变化的情况,句子之间的衔接,以及对习语的应用等等。有的学生觉得这么多条条框框考试的时间又那么短,不可能都记得清清楚楚的。这里考生最需要注重的一个问题就是,考试的时候回答问题一定要切题。

其实雅思口语和作文很相似,口语中对给出的话题一定要切入主题,不然就会被考官认为是跑题。但是前提条件是一定要把题目听明白了才行。对于跑题的概念我们来举出具体的例子说明;

问题:Do you like reading books? 很多考生回答:Yes, I do. I like reading books very much。

对于这个答案,很多学生都认为老师问的问题太简单了,我只能这么回答。而很多老师对于这个答案也耳熟了。老师提醒各位考生的是,这个回答不算跑题,但是太过于简单了。想拿高分的考生不能老师一问Do you....。。然后你就回答Yes, I do....。。这样的话。感觉像是在背课文。可以用Of course, Definitely, Sure, 和Certainly来做个替换,然后把后面I like的宾语提前说出来,就变成了Reading books is one of my favourites in my free time. And it can enlarge my imagination and widen the scope of knowledge。这样回答既能保证不太俗套,内容也比较充实。对于口语第一部分的问题,建议考生不要回答的内容过多。只要切题,答出要点就可以了。如果考官让你谈谈你的家乡,首先要归纳重点要说的内容,然后把其中的一个扩展就行。不要没完没了的说很多,老师还会认为你是背诵出来的呢。
