阿肯(Akon)，1973年4月30日出生于非洲塞内加尔，美国歌手。阿肯于2004年凭首张专辑《Trouble》中的单曲《Locked Up》而开始受到关注，其后的专辑《Konvicted》中的单曲《Smack That》更令他获得格莱美奖提名。2007年12月，阿肯凭借与格雯·斯蒂凡妮合作的单曲《The Sweet Escape》获得第50届格莱美奖最佳流行合唱提名[1] 。2011年9月，第63届美国电视艾美奖揭晓，阿肯登台献唱。

Akon【阿肯】出生在非洲西部的塞内加尔，后随父母来到美国的新泽西定居。新泽西这片土地给了Akon创作hip-hop音乐的灵感，但也同是在这片土地上，Akon因偷车罪经历了三年的牢狱生活。
监狱生活中，Akon没有放弃对音乐的追求，把大部分时间用在了hip-hop音乐创作上，并终于在1996年6月29日发行了自己的第一张专辑TROUBLE。专辑以Akon的说唱为主，还融合了他特有的非洲风格骚灵嗓音，再加上东岸和南方典型的音乐节奏，使得专辑一经发行便受到了广大歌迷的欢迎。
